1. Introduction

Halt Studios ("we," "us," or "our") operates CHUD, a multiplayer virtual reality game available on the Meta Horizon platform.

We respect the privacy of our players and are committed to explaining how information is collected, processed, stored, and used when players access CHUD.

CHUD collects and processes user data to provide its gameplay features and online services. This includes Meta Horizon account identifiers, player profile information, gameplay progress, virtual inventories, transaction information, and certain technical information required for multiplayer and backend functionality.

This Privacy Policy explains what information CHUD processes, why it is needed, the third-party services involved, and how players can request deletion of their data.

2. Information We Collect and Process

A. Meta Horizon User ID

CHUD accesses the unique User ID provided by the Meta Horizon platform.

We use this information to:

• Identify players across gameplay sessions.
• Connect players to their saved game accounts.
• Associate player accounts with Microsoft PlayFab.
• Save inventories, pets, items, virtual currency, and progression.
• Track ownership of virtual items.
• Associate in-game marketplace transactions and trades with player accounts.
• Maintain account-linked multiplayer and gameplay functionality.
• Associate applicable gameplay event participation and rewards with the correct player.

This information is used to maintain persistent player accounts and ensure saved game data remains connected to the appropriate user.

B. Meta Horizon User Profile

CHUD requests access to Meta Horizon User Profile information, which can include a player's Meta username and profile picture.

Player profile information is used to identify players within the game and support account-linked and multiplayer gameplay functionality.

Meta usernames may be used to distinguish players during multiplayer gameplay, player interactions, trading, and other in-game activities.

Where profile pictures are accessed, they are used for in-game player identity and profile display functionality.

C. User Age Group

CHUD requests access to the age category provided by Meta Horizon.

When this feature is used, Meta provides an age category rather than requiring CHUD to independently determine a player's exact age.

Age category information is intended to support age-appropriate gameplay functionality, player safety, and compliance with applicable Meta Horizon platform requirements.

Age group information is not used to determine virtual item prices or influence the outcomes of virtual item rewards.

D. In-App Purchases

CHUD uses the Meta Horizon In-App Purchase platform to support purchases of eligible virtual products and digital game content.

Purchase-related information processed by CHUD may include:

• Product identifiers.
• Purchase completion status.
• Purchase entitlement information.
• The player account associated with the purchase.
• Virtual content or currency delivered following purchase.

This information is used to verify purchases, provide purchased content, maintain player entitlements, and resolve purchase-related issues.

Payments are processed through the Meta Horizon platform. CHUD's game backend does not need players' payment card details to fulfill these purchases.

E. Gameplay and Saved Account Data

CHUD processes and stores gameplay information associated with individual player accounts.

This may include:

• Player progression and mining activity.
• Virtual pets and collectibles.
• Virtual item inventories and ownership records.
• In-game virtual currency balances.
• Player-to-player trades.
• Marketplace listings and completed virtual item sales.
• Virtual item transaction histories.
• Participation in game events.
• Mining-earned raffle tickets and virtual pet rewards.

This information is necessary for providing persistent progression, maintaining game integrity, and operating CHUD's virtual economy.

F. Multiplayer and Network Information

CHUD uses Photon networking infrastructure to provide multiplayer functionality.

Multiplayer services process technical and connection information necessary to establish gameplay sessions, maintain network communication, and synchronize multiplayer interactions.

This may include network information, IP addresses, session identifiers, application-provided player identifiers, and gameplay synchronization information.

G. Virtual Economy and Event Information

CHUD operates a backend service hosted through Cloudflare Workers at:

This service supports:

• Calculating virtual item prices using recent in-game sales and demand.
• Retrieving item existence counts.
• Providing information about active in-game events.
• Managing or supporting gameplay event information.
• Supporting mining-related raffle systems and virtual pet rewards.

Requests to this backend may involve gameplay information, item identifiers, transaction information, and technical request information. Player identifiers may be processed when needed for account-specific game functionality.

3. How We Use Information

CHUD processes player information for the following purposes:

1. Providing access to the game and its online functionality.
2. Maintaining persistent player accounts and cloud saves.
3. Saving gameplay progression and virtual items.
4. Supporting multiplayer connections and player interactions.
5. Operating player trading and the virtual item marketplace.
6. Processing virtual currency and item ownership changes.
7. Verifying and fulfilling eligible in-app purchases.
8. Calculating in-game item values and existence counts.

5. Data Retention

Account-linked gameplay information may be retained while a player maintains an active CHUD account and as needed to provide persistent game functionality.

Certain transaction and technical records may be retained for legitimate operational, security, dispute-resolution, or legal compliance purposes.

Data is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer necessary for the applicable purpose, subject to lawful retention requirements.

6. Data Security

CHUD uses third-party hosting, networking, and backend services to operate online game functionality.

We take reasonable steps to protect account-linked information against unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.

However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy and Age-Appropriate Experiences

CHUD is available through the Meta Horizon platform, which provides account-level age and safety functionality.

CHUD may use Meta-provided age category information to support appropriate game functionality and compliance with relevant platform requirements.

We do not use age category information for third-party advertising or to determine individual player market prices.

Where applicable, access to gameplay features must follow the age-related requirements of the Meta Horizon platform.

8. Data Sharing and Advertising

CHUD does not sell Meta Horizon user information to data brokers or advertisers.

Personal information processed through Meta Horizon platform features is used to operate and support CHUD's game services and functionality.

We do not use Meta User IDs, usernames, or age categories to create unrelated third-party advertising profiles.

Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law.

9. Your Data Rights

Players may request information about the personal data associated with their CHUD account, request corrections where applicable, or request deletion of their account-associated information.

These requests are subject to applicable legal requirements and reasonable account verification procedures.

10. Requesting Data Deletion

Players have the right to request deletion of personal data collected or stored in connection with their CHUD account, regardless of their geographic location.

Include your Meta Horizon username or another account identifier sufficient to help locate your CHUD game account. Do not send passwords or sensitive account credentials.

We may ask for additional information to verify account ownership before processing a deletion request.

After a verified request, we will initiate deletion of the account-associated game information within our control and take appropriate steps to request or complete deletion of relevant data held by our game service providers, subject to legally required retention.

Account deletion may permanently remove saved game progression, inventories, pets, virtual currency, and account-associated virtual items.

Deletion requests are free of charge.

Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for other legally permitted purposes. Information retained for these purposes will be limited to what is necessary.

Deleting CHUD game data does not delete the player's underlying Meta Horizon account.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when CHUD's features, data practices, third-party services, or applicable requirements change.

Updated versions will be published through the privacy policy location associated with CHUD.
